The Romanian start-ups on the radar

22 companies founded in Romania, scored on 22 conditions: the 14 conditions used for the global start-ups (80% of the score) and 8 verification conditions (20%), which check whether the figures can be confirmed independently: outside audit or ranking, official registers, agreement of sources, track record, third-party confirmation, warning signs, resilience under stress and independence from 22Radar. Each score rests on public sources; a company's own claims do not count as proof. The scores are frozen in the snapshot of 5 November 2026 (fingerprint in the .sha256 file); the earlier 14-condition snapshot stays published: startups-ro-2026-11-05.json. Price conditions cannot be assessed for unlisted companies: they get 5 (neutral) in the score and do not count as met.

The data behind the scores

Conditions met out of 22, by company (conditions). Source: Explosive Assets Radar, Romanian start-ups snapshot, retrieved on 2026-11-05. The scores and the source of each are in the details below.
Listed Romanian companies, weekly, against the S&P 500 (index, first week = 100). Source: Radar weekly database (CoinGecko and Yahoo Finance closes), retrieved on 2026-11-05.

What the analysis shows

Bitdefender meets the most conditions (19 of 22). 20 of 22 companies are not listed, so an ordinary investor cannot buy them directly; we follow them because they are the next candidates for a listing or for large funding rounds. The strongest pattern in the ecosystem is Bitdefender: solid revenue and profit, with the listing postponed from strength, not out of need.

The Romanian ecosystem is small: in 2025, start-up investment fell 20% in volume and 49% in number of deals, and the follow-on round rate was 28% (Poland: 137%), according to the How to Web report cited by Mean CEO. This is not investment advice.

How we apply the 14 conditions here

The same algorithm as for crypto, companies and commodities: each condition gets a score from 0 to 10 and is met from 7. The weights are identical in every domain; only what we measure in practice changes.
